Moldt, Vice President Corporate Development, Ambient Control Systems,
presented a paper on “Automated Wildfire Detection and Suppression”
at the 3rd International Wildfire Conference in Sydney, Australia,
October 3-6, 2003.
06-26-2003
Ambient Control Systems will return to Alberta, Canada, to demonstrate
the FireALERT-DC for Alberta Plywood, a division of West
Fraser Mills, Ltd. Numerous mill operators as well as government
officials from several provinces throughout Canada will attend the
demonstration. Canada's forestry companies are seeking to protect
their valuable log decks (logs that are being dried while waiting
for transportation to the sawmills) which represent millions of
dollars in assets.
03-25
to 03-27-2003
Ambient Control Systems has been invited by the "Forest
Engineering Research Institute of Canada" (FERIC) to demonstrate
the FireALERT-DC at a Wildfire Detection Workshop to be
held in Alberta, Canada. Ambient will monitor and report on a simulated
wildfire and present the economics of installing FireALERT
Systems to enhance the coverage provided by existing lookout towers.
From 1990 to 1995 wildfires in the province of Alberta, Canada,
alone destroyed over $31 Million in forest products. This presents
a new and expanded market for Ambient's FireALERT-DC System.
Make sure to check back on our website in April for results of this
marketing opportunity.
01-23
to 01-28-2003

Foundation to monitor two separate areas just south of the San Diego
Qualcomm Stadium with two FireALERT Systems during Superbowl
weekend. The data from both units was transmitted through their
network and made available on our website on Superbowl Sunday. CLICK

09-16-2002
Ambient Control Systems was invited to participate in a prescribed
burn at Sequoia / Kings Canyon National Park and to test Ambient's
FireALERT System under controlled conditions. This prescribed
burn was unique due to the fact that entire sections of forest including
dead trees were burned, rather than just underbrush. Click
