Infra-Red Fire
Signature Detection: Detector
sensitivity is to a specific infra-red signature. An onboard smart
processor analyzes the resulting detector signals using proprietary
Spectral Resonance Imaging
(SRI) algorithms, looking for the presence of a
fire signature over background levels. This assures that the occurrence
of false alarms is reduced to an absolute minimum from non-fire
based sources of infra-red. Fire signature detection is achieved
in under 4 minutes from first detection of a possible signature.
Suppression
Control: When the FireALERT needs to control a
compatible suppression system, it send control signals to an
ActALERT which interfaces with a compatible control valve to provide
this activation function.
System
Construction:
The components of the system utilize specialized materials that
will include polycarbonates, dicast aluminum, and sapphire. In addition,
the FireALERT-DCS System is encased in time proven enclosure
technology developed by Ambient over a 14-year period to ensure
reliability and survivability over a wide range of environmental
conditions.
